With a legacy spanning 150 glorious years, Bareilly Club Ltd is a historic institution, spanning in an area of 12.5 acres. The club is led by the Chief Patron, the General Officer Commanding of U B Area, and the Chairman, the Commandant of Jat Regimental Centre.
The Board of Directors includes nine senior Army officers and six esteemed civilians from Bareilly. A Limited Company under the Indian Companies Act, our Chairman is elected by 15 Directors chosen by Club Members at the Annual General Meeting (AGM). Boasting a diverse membership of 2,700, the club unites defense personnel, civil servants, and elite civilians from various fields.
History reflects our past, and to honour our glories, culture, and rich heritage, we at the Bareilly Club work today to build a valuable legacy for tomorrow. Formerly known as Mansfield Lodge', the Bareilly Club Itd and Gymkhana Club merged into its present entity in 1887.
The foundation stone of the building was laid on December 8, 1897. In the year 1942. the Military Estate Officer Tucknow Circle, on behalf of GOC-in-C. Eastern Command, leased the club land to Bareilly Club Itd. The halls of the Bareilly Club have witnessed history unfolding since the British Raj.
It has hosted celebrated personalities and provided a platform for newer generations to channel their intellectual and cultural interests. Sports and recreational activities have always been at the forefront, shaping the club's identity. The administrative control of the club transitioned from ASC School, which moved to Bangalore in 1999, to Jat Regimental Center.
